Hi, I’m Jake, a 23 year old who works in the entertainment industry and a Broadcast Journalism University graduate who has a passion for live theatre.
Ever since I’ve been able to recall, I have been fascinated by acting and live theatre. Having been involved in drama saturday schools as a child and taking part in school drama clubs and productions.
Acting and live theatre have been a huge part of my life since childhood. But I think my specific love for musicals may have started when, as a six or seven year old child, I was taken to see the Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre in London.
I remember being blown away by the set, props, singing, and how these actors were able to bring these animals to life on stage.
Obviously, as a young child, you watch movies such as the Lion King, but to be able to see that on stage blew my mind, and I’m ever grateful for my grandparents taking me.
As I grew up throughout my childhood and teen years, living so close to London, I was lucky enough to see many more shows with my grandparents, parents, and even on a couple of school trips.
However, as I grew older and into adulthood, acting, drama, and live theatre faded into the background as I focused on studying and working. In November 2023, I was lucky enough to get a job in entertainment at a UK holiday park. This fired up my passion again for live entertainment.
So what can you expect from my pages?
